August Venue of the Month: The St. Ermin’s Hotel, London

Long known as ‘the wedding cake’ hotel for its opulent and romantic spaces, London’s iconic St. Ermin’s Hotel is a grade II listed hidden gem in the heart of Royal London. Located just a stone’s throw away from Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey, the distinctly individual venue offers some of central London’s most dramatic public spaces.

July Venue of the Month: No.11 Cavendish Square

One of London’s historic west end townhouses and built in the 1760s, 11-14 Cavendish Square features a five-bay Palladian-style façade built from Portland Stone. Although just a two-minute walk from Oxford Circus and the hustle and bustle of London’s west end, once through the front door you are transported back in time with the splendour of the exquisite features – such as the wonderful central staircase topped with a decorative glass canopy bathed in natural daylight and a tranquil hidden courtyard encircled by a living wall.

April Venue of the Month: Brown’s Hotel

Theodore Roosevelt spent the night before his wedding at Brown’s Hotel, and you can still see a copy of the marriage certificate on display in the Mayfair hotel. The American president isn’t the only famous face to hold their nuptials here.

In 1948, Christopher Robin, son of the celebrated Britsh author who gave us the much-loved bear, Winnie-the-Pooh, held his wedding reception at Brown’s. AA Milne himself was a regular visitor at Brown’s and threw a lavish party there, six years later, for his friends and family.
