August Venue of the Month: RSA House

RSA House has become a home to many show-stopping celebrations for over 260 years. Steeped in history, with its graceful Georgian architecture, stunning interiors and central West End location, the RSA is the perfect venue for a quintessential London wedding. The House offers the perfect mix of period elegance combined with modern features, designed by the esteemed Adam Brothers.

The building’s traditional townhouse facade scarcely hints at what awaits inside. Our marble floors, sweeping staircases and range of atmospheric spaces never cease to amaze.  

As soon as couples step through the door, our house is their home exclusively for their whole wedding day. The house is licensed to hold ceremonies in a range of spaces, offering couples a choice of intimate gatherings to larger ceremonies of up to 140 guests.  

The Great Room offers a spectacular setting where natural light from the domed glass ceiling illuminates famous historical paintings dating back to 1774. The Benjamin Franklin Room is a spacious and elegant room that features a contemporary Chandelier, original Adam fireplaces and a large window running the length of the room. Then there’s our ‘hidden gem’: The Vaults, with dramatic exposed brickwork and snug alcoves. Once used as riverfront warehouses, today they are an incredible space for a party accommodating up to 220 guests.

RSA House is the home of the charitable organisation known as The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. With rooms offering unique stories, that have been updated to meet modern day requirements, whilst still retaining all their charm and character, it’s an award-winning wedding venue in demand.  
An added attraction for many couples is knowing that the proceeds of their wedding contributes to the work that the RSA does as a charitable organisation, giving their day an even greater purpose.
